2018 SPRING SCULPTURE PRIZE: 13-28 October

Lot19’s Spring Sculpture Prize has become a well known creative institution in Castlemaine and throughout the surrounding region, attracting a very high caliber of work.
“This is our 13th show and it’s a chance for emerging artists to exhibit with professional artists”, Mark (owner/operator/curator) says. “In a big way it’s a celebration of what’s available in the field of creative endeavour and because it’s not just one big prize we get sculptors submitting their best work across a wide range of media and categories. There’s so many different ways to sculpt. We’ve got ceramics, soft sculpture, metal, plastic, fabric, wood, glass, and old found objects. We’ve got kinetic sculpture. We’ve got some sculpture made from titanium and carbon fibre using surgical equipment.”
Many of the works are for sale, offering the opportunity to obtain some quality original sculpture.
Set among the impressive and inspiring grounds of Lot19, all entrants work will be exhibited for 3 weeks.
There will be 3 independent judges, with more than $6000 worth of prizes on offer.
Exhibition Opening and Prizegiving: 2-5pm, Saturday 13th October
Opening Hours: 13-28th October. Saturday and Sunday, 12-5pm.
